The game started off with Minnesota taking the lead in the first plating an
isolated run utilizing 2 base hits. That early scoring was all that
Matz(7-6) needed. Both teams' bats went to sleep after the 3rd inning with
no runs scored after that point.
Daniel Mengden preserved the game for Matz, recording his his 1st save. The
losing pitcher was Ross Stripling(8-4). He gave up only 4 hits and 1 walk in
7 innings.

Tampa Bay took the lead for good in the top of the 6th inning scoring a single
run on 2 hits. Tampa Bay managed only 4 hits on the afternoon.
The victory went to Gott(3-0) who went 3 innings, allowing no runs. Nick
Anderson earned his 10th save. Brad Keller(5-12) ended up with the loss. He

Arizona Diamondbacks pulled off a dramatic comeback beating the Colorado

Arizona had the game winning rally in the top of the 9th inning with 2 runs on
2 base hits. After an out was recorded, Freddy Galvis initiated the scoring
when he smashed a solo-shot out of the park. Jackie Bradley Jr stepped up
next and he lofted a solo-blast 'downtown'. The game was a wild affair with
the lead changing hands 5 times.
Aroldis Chapman(5-5) allowed 1 run in 3 innings, and picked up the victory.
Tommy Kahnle(2-2) was hit with the loss in relief. Despite taking the loss,

The indomitable Seattle Mariners had an easy time of it at T-Mobile Park
defeating the ice-cold Baltimore Orioles by a score of 7 to 1.
Seattle started with a bang, jumping out to an early lead in their half of the
first scoring 2 runners on 3 hits. The early run support proved sufficient
for Eduardo Rodriguez(8-4) and Seattle. That was all the run support
Rodriguez required. Baltimore was out-hit by Seattle, 14 hits to 6.
Zach Davies(3-9) was the losing pitcher. He allowed 2 runs and 3 hits in 2/3
of an inning.

had a chance in the 9th but they came up short.
John Brebbia(2-3) absorbed the loss in relief. 'It was a tough one to lose'
said St. Louis' manager 'We'll get them next time out.'

Rojas banged out a single. Rojas got a great jump and stole second easily.
Kevin Newman then hit a single giving New York (AL) the victory and sending
the 26,217 home-town fans home happy. New York (AL) rapped out 13 hits for
the night.
Nick Goody(5-4) got the win allowing no runs in 1/3 of an inning. A.J.
Puk(1-3) suffered the loss in relief. He was unable to retire a batter

at Marlins Park. The final score was the Miami Marlins 5, the Texas Rangers

Texas fell behind quickly as the Miami offense came through in the first
inning scoring 3 runs on 4 base hits. Brian Anderson led off and got things
going when he stroked a base-hit. After an out was recorded, Lourdes Gurriel
came to bat and smacked a single, and an error was also committed. Robinson
Cano then doubled plating two runs. Nico Hoerner was up next and he slapped
a single scoring the final run of the inning. Miami finished with 11 hits
while Texas ended up with 6.
Chris Paddack(4-10) went 7 innings allowing 2 runs for the victory. Nick
Wittgren earned the save, his 4th. The loss was charged to Ariel
Jurado(2-11). He surrendered 5 runs and 11 hits in 5 innings.

at Minute Maid Park in a hard fought contest.
Both teams were tied at 1 runs apiece after nine innings. Finally,
Philadelphia prevailed in the 10th inning. After an out was recorded, Hunter
Pence slapped a single. Nick Senzel stepped up to the plate and he drew a
walk. Austin Riley then lined a one-base hit scoring the run. Philadelphia
banged out 9 hits on the night.
Julio Urias(4-5) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 4 and 2/3 innings.
Brad Hand recorded the save, his 15th. Jose Urquidy(1-2) took the loss in
relief.
