runner. After two were out Hunter Dozier smashed a solo-shot out of the
park. Toronto had 12 hits overall, while New York (AL) had 8.
The victory was credited to Jairo Diaz(3-0) who went 1 and 2/3 innings,
allowing no runs. Diaz got help from Roberto Osuna who was credited with his
14th save. Chance Adams(0-2) was the loser in relief. He gave up 6 hits and
no walks in 1 and 2/3 innings.

things rolling when he drew a walk. Albert Pujols next to the plate and he
clubbed a two-run home run. Kansas City banged out 8 hits on the afternoon.
The winning pitcher was Tanner Rainey(4-1) who allowed no runs in 2 and 1/3
innings. Tim Hill recorded the save, his 3rd. Wade Leblanc(2-1) was the
losing pitcher in relief. He was knocked around pretty good, giving up 3
runs in 2 and 1/3 innings.

runs. After two outs Xander Bogaerts jump-started the rally as he drew a
walk. Mike Moustakas followed next and he cleared the fences for a two-run
home run. Los Angeles(AL) rapped out 9 hits for the afternoon.
The win went to Jose Berrios(7-8) who allowed 3 runs in 8 innings. Zack
Britton recorded his 13th save. Alex Colome(4-3) suffered the loss in
relief.

Washington was able to put down the rally.

Paul Dejong had a big day against Chicago (NL). He delivered a single scoring
a run in the 2nd inning, blasted a solo shot in the 4th inning and doubled
scoring two baserunners in the 6th inning. Tampa Bay totaled 10 hits on the
afternoon.
The win was credited to James Paxton(9-4) who went 5 and 2/3 innings allowing
4 runs. Paxton got relief help from Nick Anderson who gained credit for his
8th save. Adrian Sampson(3-10) was the losing pitcher.

Degrom(12-5) was tremendous on the mound for Seattle. He allowed just 6 hits
and 3 walks in 9 innings lowering his ERA from 3.68 to 3.43. After the 4th
inning, neither team was able to score.
Caleb Smith(0-3) was the losing pitcher. The Seattle fans were thrilled by
the performance put forth by Degrom, but it was clearly his strikeouts that
they enjoyed most. 'When he reached 10 strikeouts the fans showed him their
appreciation with a loud cheer.' Seattle's manager said following the game.

inning. After two outs Francisco Lindor doubled. Nick Markakis came to the
plate and was walked intentionally. Kris Bryant then doubled scoring the
run. Minnesota threatened in the 9th but Cleveland was able to put down the
rally.
Mike Morin(3-2) got the win allowing no runs in 1 and 1/3 innings. Wandy
Peralta earned his 1st save. Ryne Harper(2-1) was the losing pitcher in
relief. He pitched 2 innings giving up 2 hits and 3 walks.
'Just one or two mistakes were all it took to beat us today' Minnesota's
manager said. 'We take these games one day at a time, but this one was hard
to take.'
