while Baltimore had 2.

Jefry Rodriguez(0-5) was charged with the loss. Washington's manager was
upset after the game. 'I don't like to complain but did you see that umpires

Cruz enjoyed a big evening at the plate. He doubled which plated a run in the
1st inning and cleared the bases with a Grand Slam homerun in the 2nd inning.
Parker was great in relief and recorded his 7th save.
Jeff Samardzija(7-9) got credit for the victory, pitching 6 innings and
allowing 6 runs. The losing pitcher was Jose Quintana(9-7). He surrendered 7
runs and 7 hits in 1 and 1/3 innings.

At Globe Life Park the Minnesota Twins outscored the dreadful Texas Rangers in
10 innings 6 to 3.
The score was knotted at 3 after nine innings. Finally, Minnesota prevailed
in the 10th inning. Kyle Schwarber led off and he drew a walk. Jorge Alfaro
stepped up to the plate and he stroked a base-hit. Whit Merrifield got his
chance to keep things going, but he went down on strikes. Jesse Winker was
up next and he belted a three-run homer. Minnesota took care of Texas with
no trouble in the bottom of the 10th.
Hunter Wood(1-2) was the winner allowing no runs in 2 and 2/3 innings. Junior
Guerra(3-2) was tagged with the loss in relief. He allowed 1 hit and 1 walk

slapped a one-base hit bringing in a run in the 6th inning. St. Louis
