separated the combatants at game's end. The Baltimore Orioles won by the
slimmest of margins, 3 to 2.
Houston surrendered all of the runs Baltimore needed in the 4th inning when
they tallied 3 runs on 2 hits. The big moment was provided by Chance Sisco
who brought a roar from the partisan Camden Yards fans when he doubled
bringing in two baserunners. Baltimore totaled 8 hits on the afternoon.
David Hess(4-5) went 5 and 1/3 innings allowing 1 run for the win. Oliver
Perez got the save, his 3rd. Adam Wainwright(1-7) absorbed the loss.
Baltimore remained hot, improving their record to 27-38. They now have a

game at Marlins Park. The final score was the Miami Marlins 3, the Seattle
Mariners 2 in 11 innings.
Both teams were tied at 2 runs apiece after nine innings. Miami won the hard
fought contest in the 11th inning. After an out was recorded, Lourdes
Gurriel ripped a base-knock. After another out, Gurriel took second on a
stolen base. Adam Haseley then was walked intentionally. Francisco Cervelli
was up next and he banged out a single to load the bases. Josh Phegley
stepped into the box and slapped a one-base hit giving Miami the victory and
sending the 20,327 home-town fans home happy. Miami rapped out 7 hits for
the afternoon.
Chris Devenski(2-0) went 1 inning allowing no runs for the victory. Emilio
Pagan(0-4) took the loss in relief. Despite taking the loss, he whiffed 5
batters in 2 and 2/3 innings.
