Nick Vincent(2-0) was the winner as phenomenal Colorado Rockies shutout the
Minnesota Twins by a 5 to 0 score at Target Field.
Colorado delivered all the runs required in the 7th inning when they came up
with 5 runs on 3 hits. The crucial at-bat was provided by Nolan Arenado who
deflated the spirits of the home town crowd when he launched a Grand Slam
homerun. Colorado had only 5 hits for the game.
Steven Matz(6-5) suffered the loss. While he was the losing pitcher, he still
struck out 10 batters in 6 innings.

Detroit scored the decisive runs in a big 9th inning with 2 runs using 2 hits.
Mallex Smith got things going when he drew a walk. Justin Smoak was next to
bat, but he was a strikeout victim. One out later, Adalberto Mondesi then
ripped a single. Niko Goodrum stepped in and he drew a walk to load the
bases. Nelson Cruz came up to bat and banged out a single driving home two
runs. Cruz took second on the throw. Overall Detroit out-hit Baltimore 16
to 11.
Blake Parker(2-7) was the winner allowing no runs in 1 and 1/3 innings. Chad

victorious in the 10th inning. Matt Joyce delivered a one-base hit. Aroldis

Reynaldo Lopez racked up an impressive total of 12 strikeouts as the

Forsythe was next and he doubled scoring the run. Washington had a total of

For Washington the victory was a welcome one, indeed. They had been

In a good matchup it was the seemingly unstoppable Atlanta Braves 8, the Miami

Atlanta jumped out to the early lead in the first inning plating one
baserunner. Both teams ended up with 7 hits on the afternoon.
Mike Clevinger(11-3) went 5 and 2/3 innings allowing 3 runs for the victory.
Clevinger got relief help from Tony Sipp who gained credit for his 2nd save.
Domingo German(5-6) was given the loss. He served up 3 homeruns in his 5 and
2/3 innings.
No one has been able to stop Atlanta lately as they lengthened their winning
streak to 9 games. 'We're on quite a roll lately' said Atlanta's manager. 'I
just hope we can keep it going.'

Brad Keller(4-11) was the losing pitcher. He was knocked around pretty good,
giving up 7 runs in 6 innings. Bassitt was humble when questioned about his
performance, 'Well, I felt pretty confident in my pitches this afternoon.
But, I had great support behind me and I just threw what was called. That
was an extremely well called game!'

victory. Jeremy Walker(0-1) ended up with the loss in relief. He gave up 1

The game was deadlocked at 2 after nine full innings. Finally, San Diego
pulled the game out in the 11th inning. After two outs Justin Turner was the
sparkplug when he drew a walk. David Peralta stepped up next and he ripped a
base-knock. Fernando Tatis Jr then belted a three-run homer making San Diego
the winners and sending the 37,046 fans home happy. San Diego had a total of
11 hits for the game.
The win went to Cody Allen(1-2) who allowed no runs in 1 inning. A.J. Puk(1-2)
absorbed the loss in relief. He surrendered 2 hits and 3 walks in 1 and 2/3
innings.
San Diego continued their winnings ways improving their record to 44-39. They
