homeruns at Miller Park as the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Milwaukee Brewers
by the count of 7 to 3.
Stroman(7-6) pitched a fine game. He went 8 innings and surrended up 7 hits
and 4 walks. Toronto managed 10 hits in their victory.
Austin Pruitt(1-2) was tagged with the loss in relief. He was a hard-luck
loser, pitching 1 inning and not allowing an earned run.
Stroman, when asked about his 14 strikeout performance noted, 'The important
thing is that we won, if I get 20 and we lose, what good does it do our team?

Third baseman Nolan Arenado smacked 2 homeruns at Coors Field as the amazing
Colorado Rockies beat the Kansas City Royals in 11 innings 4 to 3.
The score was knotted at 3 after nine innings. Colorado came out the victor
in the 11th inning. Arenado singled. Herrera took his lead and swiped
second. Alex Dickerson then drew a walk. Trevor Story followed, but he was
set down on strikes. Scott Barlow then uncorked a wild one that found its
way to the backstop. Barlow then threw a pitch that the catcher muffed
giving Colorado the win and sending the home town fans into a frenzy. Kansas
City had 11 hits in the game while Colorado had 6, but Colorado had the more
timely hits.
The win was credited to Sam Dyson(7-6) who went 1 inning allowing no runs.
Barlow(3-2) took the loss in relief. Colorado now has a record of a division
leading 53-27. With the loss, the Kansas City ballclub's record is 42-40.

Lynn(10-1) and Seattle. Overall Seattle out-hit Texas 11 to 6.
Ken Giles preserved the game for Lynn, recording his his 11th save. Matt
Harvey(3-9) ended up with the loss. Seattle scored big getting 4 runs off
him in 2 and 1/3 innings.

the kind of game that many fans love as the lead changed hands 6 times.

scoring was all that Leake needed. Chicago (AL) had only 3 hits for the
game.

2nd inning, lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' in the 4th inning and doubled in
the 6th inning. Hansel Robles, after tossing a perfect ninth, was credited
with his 21st save.
The victory was credited to Jake Junis(7-7) who went 7 and 1/3 innings,
allowing 4 runs. Trevor Cahill(2-10) absorbed the loss. He served up 3

Noah Syndergaard went 8 strong innings as the Tampa Bay Rays outscored the
Oakland Athletics 2 to 1.
Tampa Bay had the game winning rally in the 8th inning with 2 runs using 2
hits. After two were out Ketel Marte started the attack as he drew a walk.
Eugenio Suarez followed next and he hit a single. Rhys Hoskins then hit a
single, and an error was also committed, knocking in a run. David Freese
followed and he was walked intentionally to load the bases. Willson
Contreras came to the plate and drew a walk scoring the final run of the
inning. The teams had been locked in a scoreless duel until the 6th inning.
Syndergaard(8-4) picked up the victory, allowing 1 run in 8 innings. Trevor
Gott got the save, his 7th. Ian Kennedy(2-2) ended up with the loss in
relief.
Wth the win Tampa Bay now has a record of a division leading 52-29. Oakland
will hope that this loss is only a 'blip' on their recent 8-2 run - and not a
start of a new trend.

Charlie Morton reeled off a total of 10 strikeouts as the Atlanta Braves came
back to win one over Philadelphia Phillies, 3 to 2.
Atlanta erupted with the game winning runs in the bottom of the 9th inning
with 2 runs on 4 base hits. George Springer opened up the inning nicely when
he lined a single. D.J. Lemahieu next to the plate and he grounded into a
double play. Adeiny Hechavarria then blasted a solo shot. Christian Vazquez
came up and he drew a walk. Asdrubal Cabrera stepped into the box and laced
a one-base hit. Adam Jones kept the rally going and ripped a base-knock
giving Atlanta the victory and sending the 38,546 home-town fans home happy.
Atlanta finished with 9 hits in the victory.
The winning pitcher was Tony Sipp(3-0) who allowed no runs in 2 innings. Brad
Hand(0-4) absorbed the loss in relief. 'Wow, that was fun!', Sipp said
following the game. 'Once in a while you play a game that reminds you just
why you got into this business to begin with!'
