Josh Osich(2-1) got credit for the win at Nationals Park as the San Francisco
Giants shutout the Washington Nationals 3 to 0.
San Francisco delivered all the runs required in the 5th inning plating 3 runs
utilizing 2 base hits. Steven Duggar got things going when he lined a
single. Shaun Anderson stepped up next and he laid down a sacrifice bunt.
Jorge Polanco then drew a walk. Jake Bauers followed, but he was set down on
strikes. Bryan Reynolds came to the plate and drew a walk to load the bases.
Mike Yastrzemski kept things alive and doubled clearing the bases. Both
teams finished the game with 6 hits.
Aaron Sanchez(2-6) absorbed the loss. He pitched 5 innings giving up 5 hits
and 4 walks.

Phillies embarrassed the Miami Marlins by the lopsided score of 12 to

Torres enjoyed a big evening at the plate. He doubled in the 1st inning,
bombed a two-run dinger in the 2nd inning, singled in the 4th inning and
ripped a base-knock in the 5th inning. Philadelphia out-hit Miami for the
game, 14 hits to 5.
The victory went to Julio Urias(2-3) who went 5 innings, allowing 1 run. The
losing pitcher was Domingo German(5-5). He allowed 6 hits and 1 walk in 1
inning.
Wth the win Philadelphia now has a record of 28-45. With the loss, the Miami

Toronto Blue Jays. The score was 11 to 4.
Tampa Bay started with a bang, jumping out to an early lead in their half of
the first plating an isolated run. The Tampa Bay offense smacked the Toronto
pitching staff around, scoring in 7 of the 9 innings.
Noah Syndergaard(7-4) was the winner allowing 4 runs in 8 innings. Aaron
Brooks(3-7) ended up with the loss. He was knocked around, surrendering 7
runs in 6 innings.

Minnesota Twins beat the New York (AL) Yankees 6 to 0.
Gonzales(9-5) simply dominated New York (AL). He gave up just 3 hits and 2
walks in 8 innings reducing his ERA from 5.32 to 4.88. Minnesota had 8 hits
for the night while New York (AL) had 3.
Felix Pena(3-4) was charged with the loss. Gonzales was pleased with his
performance. He noted, 'I had good zip on my pitches. Just as important, my
location was right on. The fans really got into the game too - that always
helps me. Now, if I can only do that again in my next outing.'

The St. Louis Cardinals edged the Colorado Rockies in 12 innings at Busch
Stadium by the score of 7 to 6.

pulled the game out in the 12th inning. Oscar Mercado laced a base-knock.
Carson Kelly was next and he banged out a single. Trea Turner then would hit
into a fielders choice making St. Louis the victors to the delight of the
home town faithful. St. Louis finished with 14 hits in the victory.
Brandon Workman(2-1) got credit for the victory, pitching 1 inning and
allowing no runs. Reyes Moronta(4-1) was the loser in relief.

Matt Wisler(3-4) won the game with a masterful relief performance. No one was
able to reach base in his 1 inning. Cincinnati threatened in the 9th but San
Diego was able to put down the rally.
Brad Wieck recorded his 4th save. Liam Hendriks(4-5) took the loss in relief.
With this win, San Diego has a 38-38 record. They have been 4-6 lately.
With this loss, Cincinnati has a 7-3 record of late, 40-35 overall.

Progressive Field where the Cleveland Indians beat the Baltimore Orioles in

The score was tied at 1 after nine. Cleveland came out the victor in the 10th
inning. Allen slapped a single. Yolmer Sanchez came next and he laced a
base-hit. Sanchez took second on the throw. Francisco Lindor then would hit
into a fielders choice resulting in a mighty exciting win for Cleveland and
the 28,840 home town fans in attendance. Cleveland and Baltimore each
finished the night with 4 hits.
Jonathan Hernandez(1-0) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 1 inning.
The losing pitcher was Chaz Roe(1-3) in relief. He gave up 2 hits and no

smashed a solo-shot out of the park in the 4th inning and launched a
rocket-shot out of the park for a Grand Slam homerun in the 5th inning. Los
Angeles(AL) ended up with 12 hits for the game while Texas had 6.
Max Fried(5-4) got credit for the victory, pitching 6 innings and allowing 1
run. Ariel Jurado(2-8) absorbed the loss. Acuna was in a good mood after the
game, 'I'm just seeing and hitting the ball real well now. I made some
adjustments last week and they are paying off. That's what this game is
about. making adjustments as the season goes along.'

at-bat was by Brandon Lowe who silenced the stadium when he lofted a

Cody Bellinger cracked 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI and Jacob Degrom threw a 3
hitter as the indomitable Seattle Mariners outscored the Kansas City Royals 9
to 2.
Bellinger really 'lit it up' for Seattle. He cracked a solo homerun in the
1st inning, banged out a single in the 3rd inning, doubled which scored a run
in the 5th inning and clubbed a two-run home run in the 6th inning. Seattle
managed 15 hits in their victory.
Degrom(9-5) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 2 runs. The losing
pitcher was Drew Smyly(3-5). By surrending 5 runs in 4 innings his ERA
jumped from 4.23 to 4.66.
With the win, Seattle continued their winning ways; their streak now stands at
6 games and counting.
